Matthew Jonas brings more than a decade of franchise development marketing experience and over two decades of digital media expertise to our clients. As president and co-founder of TopFire Media, he helped build one of the largest digital media agencies specializing in franchise recruitment marketing. Under his leadership, TopFire Media was recognized by Entrepreneur Magazine as one of the top franchise marketing agencies for eight consecutive years.
Mr. Jonas has worked with a wide range of emerging, established, and mature brands, including Perkins, Bojangles, Honey Baked Ham, Amanda Senior Care, Huntington Learning Center, i9 Sports, Dale Carnegie Training, Ivy Kids System, Mathnasium, Kahala Brands, Pet Evolution, Fastest Labs, Freeway Insurance, Storm Guard, Mr. Pickles, Shoot 360, Eye Lab, The Melting Pot, Walk-On’s, Anago Cleaning Systems, SealMaster, Toasted Yolk, Earl of Sandwich, Main Line Brands, and many others.
Prior to joining TopFire Media and iFranchise Group, Mr. Jonas was the Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Handyman Online, a $38 million dollar company. During his four years at the company, he was an integral part of the marketing and sales teams that generated over 143,000 home improvements leads on a monthly basis and grew its network of member contractors over 25,000.
Mr. Jonas also worked as Director of Digital Media for Baseline21, a top-ranked Chicago-based digital media agency, where he developed and implanted digital media strategies, including SEO, PPC, mobile marketing, web development, and more. Before his tenure with Baseline21, he worked for One Social Media, a fast-growth social media agency, as a social media strategist, where he filled roles in sales, project management, vendor relations with social media strategies such as LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter (now X), and others. He also was Director of Sales, Marketing & Business Development at Zallas Technologies where he was responsible for developing the sales team, channel building, and executing Internet marketing and SEO services.
Mr. Jonas frequently speaks at franchise and industry events and is a published author whose work has appeared in Forbes, Franchising World, Franchise Update Media, Franchising USA, Global Franchise Magazine, Be The Boss, and Franchise Expo, among others. He holds a BA in Business.
